My twin aren't natural sleeper and their "sleep personality" is totally opposite of each other! Monster D is a fast sleeper but a light sleeper. Monster E is a slow sleeper but a deep sleeper. So there is time when E finally sleeps, D will cry out for my hugs and i have to assure him to sleep before able to sneak out of the room. I'm not really into sleep training my twins because i don't think crying to sleep will really helps for E. I tried once and makes her more awake and agitated, which in turns makes her wake up in the middle of the night more often. So i looked for a more calming way to "charm" them to sleep.
After reading alot of articles, white noise machine, essential oil and herbs seems to work for many. So i decide to combine all three and prays that it will helps.

I bought Marpac Hushh White Noise Sound Machine for awhile now but i didn't really stick to it. I don't really like the sound as it kinda noisy to me (i sleep with my twin). Anyway it's time to try it again.

Result:-
For the first 2 nights, it doesn't make much difference. D still a fast and light sleeper. E still a slow and deep sleeper. Surprisingly 3rd day onwards, there is a slight improvement. E sleeps faster, like within 30 mins to an hour (on bad days she can still be awake after tossing for 2 hours and weeping because she is tired but can't fall asleep). D ables to sleep deeper and sometimes able to go back to sleep if he wakes up in the middle of the night.
So now is about 2 months after trying this combination. As usual D sleeps within 30mins but able to sleep longer. He used to wake up every 3 hr, now he can stay asleep for 6hr! E ables to sleep within an hr (but on bad days she still have problem going to sleep) and able to sleep thru the night. I did had my lucky break when both slept thru the night for few times.
If your toddlers have problem sleeping and/or sleeping thru the night, you can try this combinations and prays that it will works
